Comment: A more short-sighted decision we have rarely seen. The expensive part of the F-22 program
is now behind us and future lots will only get cheaper. Coupled with the rising sophistication of the
Russian and Chinese air forces, the decision to end F-22 production may come to be seen as a disastrous
blunder.
|
Comment: Europe has invested quite a bit of capital and prestige in the A400M. Whether this
investment will pay off remains to be seen.

Comment: These results are interesting compared to most national and international polls that decry
the missile strikes as inflaming anti-American sentiments.
|
Comment: The VH-71 was indeed cancelled, but whether it was due to cost overruns or political
maneuvering remains the question.

Comment: This current debate is eerily reminiscent of the 1990s recession. In that instance,
Congress raised taxes on "luxuries of the wealthy" like yachts causing that industry to be decimated and
generating severe unemployment. Now the target is the business jet where companies like Cessna are laying
off thousands of workers thanks to the government's misguided policies designed for short-term political
gain at the cost of long-term economic growth.
|
Comment: The F-35 maintained a rather large lead in this poll until the last few days when a Gripen
surge was apparent. It's always suspicious when that happens...
