Comment: Keeping all the carriers on the East Coast in one port seems a poor idea. The Pacific
Fleet is spread across three bases reducing the likelihood of a single event like an attack or natural
disaster incapacitating the entire carrier force and its support facilities.

Comment: It has become clear that Russia is blackmailing India by demanding so much money that the
Indians will either give up on the refurbished aircraft carrier allowing the Russians to add it to their
resurgent fleet or the exorbidant amount of money can be used to buy a brand new ship for the Russian navy.

Comment: The Chinese are masters of reverse engineering and increasingly purchase just enough
military equipment from foreign countries to ensure success in copying foreign technology. Russia would be
wise to cut off further sales to China.
