Comment: I approach this question from the perspective of passenger comfort. By that standard, my
two favorite aircraft are the 777 and 767. Every example of these two aircraft I have flown has been
spacious and equipped with the latest in personal entertainment systems. By comparison, every 757 and A320
I've flown was as cramped and uncomfortable as a sardine can.
|
Comment: Maybe this is an overly simplistic viewpoint, but the man was a terrorist who orchestrated
the deaths of countless Israelis, so Israel has every right to eliminate him and anyone else who encourages
the killing of innocent civilians. A terrorist is a terrorist, and they all deserve to be punished for
their hateful crimes.

Comment: I fail to see how the weighing of passengers will have any impact on improving aircraft
safety. Only one aircraft accident investigation has ever suggested that passenger weight might have been
a contributing factor, and even that finding is highly controversial.
|
Comment: The fact that billions of dollars were poured into a program that never managed to produce
a single airframe capable of meeting its design requirements is ample evidence that the Comanche program
was a costly blunder that should have been cancelled at least ten years ago. The Army's recent interest
in unmanned helicopters that ought to be able to perform the same mission at much lower cost is a far more
sensible option.

Comment: It's not terribly surprising that these results indicate such a split decision. The
government has a duty to do everything possible to prevent terrorist attacks, but there is always the
danger of "crying wolf" too many times and creating a false sense of security.
|
Comment: The Mars rovers have performed remarkably well, and it is encouraging to see such a strong
show of support from our readers.. Hopefully, this sucess will help NASA rebound from its recent troubles
and better live up to its potential.
