The Aircraft Museum is an on-line collection featuring many of the most well-known aircraft of the jet age. In the future, we hope to add a companion Early Aircraft Museum covering the aircraft of the piston age, from the Wright brothers through World War II. This site provides in-depth background information and numerous pictures of a wide variety of military and civil aircraft. Technical details are gathered from many sources (print and web) which sometimes are in disagreement. In these cases, the most commonly cited values are used. In accordance with the Aerospaceweb.org copyright, all contents of this site are public domain and may be used for any non-commercial purpose unless otherwise stated. If you believe any photos or information on this site are not public domain or you would like to correct any errors, please contact us. We are also happy to accept any new pictures, information, or suggestions our visitors have to improve the quality of The Aircraft Museum. Select the category of your choice in the menu to the right. Since different countries use different classification systems, most aircraft are listed according to their primary role. Aircraft may be listed in multiple categories if more specialized versions were placed in service. |
